Job Summary:
- Prepaid Expenses – responsible for a) reviewing prepaid accounts to ensure all items meet the criteria of a prepaid asset, b) maintaining prepaid expense schedules, c) analyzing prepaid transaction and identifying appropriate expense account, d) preparing the monthly amortization journal entries for expenses
- Cash – a) reviewing daily cash transactions b) maintaining balances between accounts c) prepare account transfers d) journalize various cash transactions, from fees to payments to interest expense e) prepare weekly payment batches and validate bank details for approx. 100 wires.
- Customer deposits – review GL account and prepare reclass entries for revenue reconciliations
- Payables – maintain payable aging for operational refunds.
- Expense Accruals - responsible for preparing monthly accrual schedules and journal entries for general expenses
- Intercompany Items & Transfer Pricing – responsible for running all necessarily reports for Revenue Team to complete monthly Transfer Pricing and work with Revenue Team to record transfer pricing journal entries across multiple entities
- Assist in preparing various monthly journal entries
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliation schedules for areas of involvement
- Prepare supporting documents and schedules for quarterly and annual audits
- Prepare various monthly and ad hoc reports for management
- Internal Controls - Maintain and improve existing internal controls over areas of involvement
Job Requirements:
- Must have 2+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP and IFSUM formulas)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to think independently and exercise judgement in proposing solutions to issues encountered on a day to day basis
- Motivated self-starter with ability to think outside the box when problem solving
- Close attention to detail, able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in teams
- Willingness to adapt to changes in accounting standards and company policies
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamix 365 is a plus
